Our family is whole again.
After Leslie had a few minutes to put down her bags and give us hugs, we went to Joe's Crab Shack for a celebratory dinner. It was wonderful to experience my family as a complete unit, the four of us laughing and talking, being with each other, reveling in the trust of a perfect circle.

The boy was very young; perhaps 7 or 8 years old. He loved everything about
Christmas - the lights, the music, Santa ...

First off, We dig the Shack!
Second, which one? We eat at the Redondo one on the water.
Glad to hear the family's happily reunited :-)
It's hard to believe that I've lived out in Southern California for around 25 years and have never been to a Joe's Crab Shack. Sure I've driven past them a million times over and sure I've chuckled at their "Yes, we've got crabs" t-shirts, but I've never set foot in one.
Probably about time I finally did.
James,
Thanks.
As for Joe's, I am a big fan of the Snow Crab Legs. Also, it's a pretty fun atmosphere. The balloon hats are awesome, as are the dancing wait staff.
I wish we had a crab shack around here. we've got Bob's Clam Hut on the way to Maine though - best clams!
I was in Maine a couple weeks ago for a wedding. It was a trip of many firsts - my first time in Maine, my first wedding in attendance, my first lobster roll, my first Dunkin' Donuts, and my first whole Maine lobster.
My arriving and departing flight were taken at Logan but unfortunately I didn't get to spend any time in Boston. Otherwise, I would've added some Boston-y firsts too!
Marvelous photo! Obviously, The Crab Shack has some wonderful after-effects.
Glad to hear you're all back together and enjoying each other's company so much. Nothing like family around the dinner table.
And, James - You were in Boston and didn't stop by to say "Hello"? Oh, right, you had no idea where I live. Nevermind.
(For future reference, third dumpster to the left behind the Burger King on Boylston Street near Fenway Park.)
That's my Noe!! She is wicked funny. I have a deep admiration for her studious focus on the funny.
