Joe Henry, to me, in some ways, captures the best of Billy Joel's songwriting - the soothing semi-baritone voice is hauntingly familiar, but also: he's earnest, his songs are simple in their arrangement, and there's a certain comfort I feel in having him sing to me. Your milage may vary, but for those who enjoy a slow-tempo balladeer lacking in pretense, you could do worse than giving Joe Henry's latest album a real listen. - This tune is from that album, "Blood From Stars," and is entitled "Channel."

Interesting, Stu. Great call, I hear what you are saying about channeling Billy Joel. I also hear early Pink Floyd. Nice!
