So, Dr. Sanjay Gupta just informed me, via CNN, that most masks available to average citizens are a waste of time, as particulate matter from wildfires are too small and will get through most drugstore masks. His advice, "Stay inside."
Ok.
As for photos, here are two. One is an official NASA photo, the second is a crop which will diagram where we live, and why I care about air quality.
So, you can see the smoke is larger than our entire town. It's not near as bad as other areas, and while we are completely safe from fire (as we are reasonably close to the center of the human-infested section of Los Angeles), we are experiencing some less-than-wonderful air. Today will be interesting. Feel free to ask questions.
