*for those who are curious, Barbara and I had a bet that the Red Sox would finish the season at least 4 games over the Yankees. As they did not, my end of the bet is display the Yankee's logo at the top of my blog for a month. Keep scrolling down for the current blog entries. I thank you.

I came here to read your usual blend of wit, warmth, and intelligence. Instead, I was assaulted by a visual containing absolutely none of the above.

Oh, I agree, Sul, an assault on the sensibilites to be sure. But, as someone taught me, I am my word. I just hope people understand that the post is a sticky post and continue to scroll down to get the daily dose.

Stu - This note isn't that "sticky".
I thought the blue Yankees logo at the top of the side-bar covered my end of the bet. If not, let me know. I just realized that folks weren't scrolling down to read my latest entries.

Stu - Sorry about that, your sidebar fell off the side of your blog, I think because the logo is so big. I didn't see it down there. Yes, that does satisfy the bet.

And my sincerest condolences to you on the Yankee season. It was a great run at the end and you almost pulled off an upset. I'm sure you'll be rooting for the Sox in the playoffs.
Stu - I will be cheering for the Yankees, we clinched a wildcard spot. After the Yankees I would root for the Indians.
