The kids are with their dad this Thanksgiving, so, to distract ourselves, Leslie and I went to Venice Beach on Thursday and Seal Beach on Friday. Both were lovely combinations of walkin', shoppin', and huggin'.
In fact, we dropped some coin on a chunk of great Hannukah/Christmas/Kwanzaa/Advent/Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe/Feast of the Immaculate Conception/Saint Lucia Day/Winter Solstice/Boxing Day/Festivus gifts, at a place in Seal Beach called Alamitos Antiques. They don't have a website, and there are several antique shops in Seal Beach, but they are the best. (They are located at 211 Main Street, right near the pier and are run by JoAnn and Dave, possibly the nicest people in our galaxy)
Today we will go to Walser's to pick up some art supplies for Leslie, and then she'll head into her studio to paint and I'll hang out with cousin Mark, acting like a delinquent.

Great would be the word, if I were insisting on accuracy.
