In the 1966 film adaption of Fahrenheit 451, there is a scene, early on, when Montag, played by Oskar Werner, is getting suited up to burn some books. During the scene, it seems to have been shot backwards. Sure enough, when he is done burning the books, they reverse the same shot, to show him getting unsuited.
My guess is that they did it to save money, but maybe the director, François Truffaut, also liked the weirdness of it.
Thoughts?
