Stu News and Photos

My name is Stu and I am here to share what I can.

Noelle turns ELEVEN tomorrow!! Awesome and crazy at the same time. I can't believe she's 11, she was 6 like two months ago!

She's deep into her first year of middle school, and is on track for at least a 3.5 this semester. Tomorrow's a math test for her, which sucks, 'cause you shouldn't have to take tests on your birthday. But she's prepped and ready to do her best.

Don't tell her, but we got her a bunch of cool presents, including a digital camera, the Lumix DMC-LZ5K. Depending on how into the photography she gets, she may start her own blog (wishful thinking).

The festivities start tomorrow morning, where she will wake up to a room filled with balloons and Happy Birthday signs. Leslie and I are psyched.

Speaking of Leslie, she is almost over her bout with pneumonia. We were lucky that we caught it early (here's a tip: If you have a low-grade fever for more than three days, get to a doctor immediately). She's still not 100%, but she'll be there by next week.

I'm also sick, but not near as bad. However, it's hard when both parents are unwell. The kids were sweet about it, but I can see that they are ready for us to get back in the game.

Oh, and also, my video arcade machine is almost ready. Details to follow (maybe next week if you're nice enough to send my blog url to one of your friends).

Holy cow, your daughter and my girlfriend share the same birthday. Of course, my girlfriend is well past eleven, but you get the idea :-D

And very nice camera. Excellent gift. I'm sure she'll love it.

Well, take care of yourself and Leslie, keep in good spirits, and Happy Birthday to Noelle.

Glad to hear the household is feeling better, Stu. And a video arcade machine? Way cool. I expect pics and much description when you get it.

Details will follow, absolutely. It's still being built, but I've seen photos of the finished cabinet. It's pretty sweet.

Thanks for all the well wishes. We're a close family, which is almost always a great thing. Except when one of has has a cold, we all share it. I think we've finally gotten rid of the bug, as I'm the only one who still has symptoms, and they seem almost all gone.
