Fahrenheit 451 is, upon previous viewings, a surpisingly poorly made film. Maybe it's just me, as a lot of folks think it is a terrific film.
I grew up loving the book. In fact, the story was so moving that I have since kept every book that ever came into my possession, with the exception of gifts and re-gifts, loans, and the rare misplaced, lost, or stolen. Which means, of course, that I got a lotta books. Even got me a book called "Surgery Of the Pancreas"... Wh00t!!1!
Anyway, the book is great, and the movie just poops all over it. So many bits of bad acting, bad background, exaggerated and clownish business, and awkward, illogical dialogue transitions. Ugh.
