I have played video games since 1979. They serve as primary happy memories for me.

In the mid-80s I moved to Macintosh. One of the great games was Crystal Quest. You were the floating ship/icon, controlled by the mouse, and you traveled throughout space, collecting good stuff and avoiding bad stuff. What made Crystal Quest great was the sounds. Whenever you touched anything, you got a different sound. Great samples, really original, slightly weird sounds. One of them was a victorious yawp, a favorite sound. Today, April 30th, 2006, I discovered that the sample of the yawp was taken from the Peter Gabriel song "Not One Of Us" from his third solo record.

Of course, it might not be Crystal Quest, it might be a different game.
