Bored To Death contains some of Ted Danson's best work.

Really tried to like this show. Danson is great, but to me, writing just feels plodding and contrived.
Dave - Leslie and I agree, it is becoming less and less quirky and more and more contrived, which is why I was sure not to praise the show, just Danson. the other actors are a bit wooden, even Jason Schwartzman, of whom I was in love with because of his portrayal of Max Fischer in "Rushmore." (We were together for our initial screening of that film, way back when.) - I had high hopes for "Bored To Death," but now it's clear that, at least for the wife and I, its days are numbered. However, the show at least gave more reason to lerve Ted Danson.
