For those of you who read my post that contained a bizarre theory about Vladimir Putin, read this story - and for those who'd rather not click, the gist is that Magomed Yevloyev, the owner of an internet news website that focused on criticism of police treatment in Ingushetia, was detained by police, and then shot and dumped on the side of the road.

Obviously it could be an isolated inscident, but let's not forget the story of Anna Politkovskaya. We need to keep our eye on the ball.
