Some of you may think I'm a little too hard on Governor Palin. While I appreciate your view, it is my opinion that I am simply trying to shed sunlight on a piece of political theater - Governor Palin was chosen not for her experience or her capabilities or her intelligence, but for her specific age, sex, and views on hot-button topics meant to galvanize the hardcore right-wing voters. Pandering is always bad, but doubly so when we're talking about the election of a national leader.
As a way of defending my stance, here's an online lecture by noted academic Lawrence Lessig that details the governmental experience of our nation's previous Vice-Presidents. I hope you find it as enlightening as I did.
