My family affected by Hurricane Ike are fine, health-wise, although I haven't heard about the extent to the damage of my cousin's house on Galveston Island. The storm surge was less than the height of the seawall, so there wasn't near as much flooding as what could have been. There was some flooding in some parts of town, so I'll be waiting for a report from them, once they are allowed back home. Hope, hope, hope...
