As many of you know, I'm Jewish. As many of you know, we have been an oppressed people for quite some time. African-Americans have also been an oppressed people for quite some time. But time marches on and change happens. We now have, for the first time, an African-American running for President on behalf of a major political party. Senator Barack Obama truly represents me, more than any candidate I've ever experienced. I feel uplifted at this moment, filled with inspiration, seeing dreams realized. It is truly a magnificent moment in history, for all of us, from every corner of society. It is a time for dreams to be fulfilled.
Oppression can be overcome, justice can be served, and hope can indeed spring eternal.
