Stu News and Photos

My name is Stu and I am here to share what I can.

Living in Los Angeles brings with it a certain pull towards the philosophical heart of the city, the heart of its culture. As such, I've taken to having a Hollywood pitch in my brain, in my cranial back-pocket, if you will. - Here's my latest pitch: A reality show centered around a neighborhood Mom & Pop hardware store, with a bar in the back.

Obviously it's got a wonderful "regular-guy" sensibility, either one which is actually lived or one that is aspired to by most men (I fall into the latter category). But then, after small-talk about gutters and champhers and l-pipes, the fourth beer is consumed and the innocent comment about roofers being more important than electricians, and suddenly you're faced with a store full of sharp (and blunt) instruments and drunk guys.

So, not a great idea.

But I wonder... What about a bar inside a nail salon?

You can have my idea...

Sitcom about a blogger who has a zany cast of online friends, and an even zanier family. Hilarity ensues...

Thim :)

I like Thim's idea. How about....they all meet and find that each has at least one relative in common.

Stu!

Sharp (and blunt) instruments, and drunk guys, IS the idea. If that wouldn't sell to FOX, I'd eat a slug (which is my own idea for a game show, by the way :-) )

can sheldon work in the hardware store??? he doesn't even need a writer to feed him lines. oh i can see him now reeling in the customer with grace and then a backhanded "compliment" sends them running from the store straight to the back room.

Have you ever been in a nail salon? You can get stoned off the fumes from polish, remover & superglue.
Let's think about this a moment, shall we?
Women.
Recently filed, superglued acrylic nails.
Booze.
What could possibly go wrong?

Sharfa - that's what I was thinking! Plus waxing pain and cultural differences. Could make for a fantastic series.
