The Structure Next... |
I've been composing for a number of years now, but it's only been the past year or so where I've been taking it seriously. Most of my work is in just a few genres: ambient-house or acid-house. The above piece is something I constructed just about a year ago, with my (then) new studio, a MacBook Pro and GarageBand. Each part of the song is me, no loops, just me putting notes in, just like a grown-up composer. (I can also tie my own shoes, but I'll save that for another post)
Anyway, feel free to listen to it. If you dig it, I'm happy to let you know that my cousin Mark and I are days away from finishing a full album of this type of music, although ours contains really long samples of folks discussing a variety of topics - I'm officially calling it Geek-House. If you ask nice, I'll post a track or two.
And if you feel up to it, try and enjoy the moments. With the right set of eyes, they'll seem like masterpieces.

Try as I might, could not hear the song. It goes to a site called eSnips, and it even shows that it is playing, but no sound. :(
