For those of you who haven't seen it, I can't recommend Educating Rita highly enough. It's a film that touches a significant part of my soul, the part of me that hungers for knowledge. Michael Caine and Julie Walters dance a duet of language that rivals the footwork of Fred and Ginger.
And for those of you who've seen it, think about watching it again. Like fine poetry, it's worth the effort to dig deeper.
And while we're on the subject of Michael Caine, have you seen his dance with Laurence Olivier in Sleuth? A brilliant film that delivers on its promise.
