I was reading this entry by MC Milker and thought, I need to share this one.

First, if you haven't already clicked on the above link and read her essay, it's about finding used books. Now, according to Freakonomics, reading to your kid doesn't improve their test scores, but having a lot of books laying around does increase their test scores. Yeah, I was surprised as well.

Second, MC Milker's post is a trove of great links to used book dealers. Go out and buy more books!

Third, you would know all of this already if you were subscribed to GNMParents, because it would be delivered to your inbox, all nice and neat and petite. What? You want to subscribe, but don't know how? Simply go to GNMParents.com and look for the Subscribe section in the sidebar. Under the word "Subscribe," you'll find a field in which to place your email address. Enter said address, click on the button, and you am be done!
