This is a photo I took in my backyard with my new Nikon D40. What do you think? Is the lens good enough? I'm not sure if it's as quality a lens as my other camera, the Lumix DMC-FZ5. I love everything else about the Nikon, especially the super-fast mechanism, so I can take multiple shots a second. And it's an SLR, while the Lumix is a point-and-shoot. But there seems to be a lot of noise with the Nikon. Is it me?
I know, I need to take a similar shot with both cameras. Let me save that for my next post.
So, how's by you?

My favorite rose... yellow. I've always thought they were the prettiest.
I'm browsing for a digital SLR and was interested in the D40 - it's the only reasonably priced one out there.

Used my AE-1 this weekend and suddenly remembered why I loved photography
