Quick question: Am I the only who, upon putting the last of my groceries into my vehicle, returns the cart to the cart corral?

Nope, I do it too. Sometimes I ride the cart like a scooter to the return too. But yeah, as much as I can help it I don't like to leave the carts between cars or in other such inconvenient places.
I love riding the cart. Or driving it on two wheels.
This one time, my family and I were in an alley way in Santa Monica when we came upon a repository for old shopping carts. Nich, 14, jumped in one and I pushed him as fast as I could down the alley. People gave us dirty looks, but screw 'em!
nope, i do it too. and if there isn't a cart home, i take it back to the store. so, i guess there's four of us.
I always leave it at my car. They pay someone to pick them up and put thm back. I pay for that with my grocerys.
Anonymous,
I wonder if you are aware that leaving your cart by your parking space makes it difficult for the next driver, who has to either park with extreme care so as to not ding up their vehicle, or to stop, get out of their car, remove the obstacle, then park. Conservative behavior breeds an inconvenience for the rest of the citizenry.
No way Stu.
I park my car next to the shopping cart port, which happens to be located at the far end of the parking lot at our local Albertson's in San Dimas.
This is done for two reason's (1) easy parking of the shopping cart (2) no one can ding the passenger side of my car.
At some of the Shop Rite's in NJ, you have to "rent" your cart with a quarter, and the only way to get your quarter back is to return it and hook/lock it to another cart.
But for non-renting supermarkets, I only get aggravated when the cart is left within twenty feet of the cart return. :)
Ugh. I hate it when I go to pull into a parking space and some other IDIOT has left his/her shopping cart behind.
I always return mine to the corral.
By the way, the person who gets paid to round up the carts will get his/her check whether they round them up from the corral or all over the lot, so do us a favor and stick it... in the corral.
