I love our spot at the sea wall for July 4th Fireworks. Being able to see the barge that serves as the launching pad for the fireworks is always a cool thing.

Hell of a nice photo, Stu. Have a great weekend! Hurray for Dog findings!!!
Thanks very much for the compliment. I have no education, but I want to take interesting shots.
Dog Findings are way better than Dog Leavings.
good one
Hooray for fireworks barge.
Boo for all things, El De Barge.
Stu,
This is an EXCELLENT photo. Definitely publishable. Well done!
Do you remember the shutter speed and aperture you used? ISO setting?
Thanks for the lovely compliment, Allen. I really appreciate the kind words.
As for your questions:
Shutter Speed: 1/4
Aperture: f4.0
Max Aperture: f2.8
Exposure Bias: -.33
Focal Length: 9.33 mm
ISO Speed: 100
but in case anyone thinks I know what I'm talking about, I use a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ5, taking the fireworks pictures with (and I'm not making this up) the "Fireworks" automated setting.
Stu,
Nothing wrong with using a "Fireworks" setting.
Did you use a tripod (or otherwise steady your camera on something)? If it was a handheld shot at 1/4 sec, then it's an even more amazing shot (even if your camera has a "stabilization" feature, you had to be very steady to get a hand held shot like that at 1/4 sec).
In addition, you had to compose the shot. Boat in foreground, reflection of fireworks in water, that took creativity and a good eye.
So, you really did much more than just use the Fireworks setting.
