Don't Feed The Trolls is a lesson I was taught a few years ago, and I appreciate the education, as it has served my heart well.
What is a Troll? They are an unkind lot to enjoy making other people unhappy.
Here's my additional tip: How To Spot A Troll: If you are reading comments and 99% of the comments go in one direction, and one comment goes the opposite way, Turn On Your Troll Glasses and read the comment carefully. Is it short? Good chance it's a Troll. Is it poorly reasoned? Good chance it's a Troll. Does it lack backing statements or external proof? Good chance it's a Troll. So don't feed it. Don't comment, don't vent, don't acknowledge them in any way. Yes, this is a tall order. But in the end, you will feel better, more relaxed, as you exercised your "personal discipline" muscle. You will feel that little muscle flex, like Hans and Franz, and you will feel good about yourself.
