Stu News and Photos

My name is Stu and I am here to share what I can.

This post was going to just be about Ishtar but as I thought more about it, Hudson Hawk came up on DirecTV, so I decided to broaden the scope. What is it about these films that turn people off, or is it just the initial critics? This leads to the following question, which is really the heart of the matter: Does initial criticism doom a film forever? Will Ishtar ever become a beloved film? I'm sincere, as I truly enjoy Ishtar and Hudson Hawk. (for bonus points, what do these two films have in common?)... I'm sure there are other films like these two. Will they ever receive a fair response? Will history declare them a winner? What films would you have us revisit and rethink?

They both won Razzie Awards?

That may be true, but that is not the answer I am looking for. The answer is an obvious one, but it may require another viewing of Ishtar (hint!)
